  • What items do you accept for consignment?
DCFE prides itself on being a trusted source for providing our customers with the best clothing and accessories from the fashion industry's top-name designers.  Please see the "What we buy" page for a complete list of acceptable designer brands.

  • Do you only accept designer brands for consignment?
Yes.  Many of our items can be found at high street retailers like Brown Thomas, Harrod's, and eLuxury.com.  Our focus is on the top-name designers that can be found at these retailers. Please see the "What we buy" page for a complete list of acceptable designer brands.

  • Will you buy my designer items (instead of consignment)?
As one of the leading consignment stores on the Internet, we do not purchase designer items upfront.  If you are interested in putting your items on Consignment with DCFE, please refer to our Consignment page.

  • Do you sell new designer items?
Quite often, many of our designer items that are available on consignment are in fact brand new (never been worn/used with tags still on the items).  There are certain instances, however, where we do sell new items that are not available on consignment.

  • What if my item is in excellent condition, but needs to be cleaned?
Before sending your items to DCFE, please be sure that all items are free of stains, tears or other damage that may reduce the value of the item. Ideally, all items should be cleaned (preferably dry cleaned) prior to shipping. Please refer to our Consignment page for additional information on preparing your items for resale.

  • How do I place something on consignment?
For information on how to place your items on consignment, please refer to our Consignment page.

  • How do I send my items to DCFE?
For information on how to place your items on consignment and how to ship your items to DCFE, please refer to our Consignment page.

  • How do you decide on prices? And how much do you keep?
In all cases where Consignor items are sold, the Consignor will receive a payment in the amount of 50% of the selling price. All other payment for consignors living outside of the Dublin area, may be mailed on request of the Consignor. DCFE shall pay all amounts due between the 10th and 20th of each month following the sale of an item. Please refer to our Consignment Contract for additional information on pricing and consignment terms.

  • How long will you try to sell my resale items and how do the markdowns work?
The consignment period is 90 days. If any items are pulled by the consignor prior to the completion of the full consignment period, the Consignor will be charged 50% of the item’s ticket price. All items are subject to regularly schedule markdown periods occurring at 30 day intervals from the initial date of consignment or at any time per the discretion of DCFE. All merchandise not sold within the 90 day consignment period and not claimed within five (5) days following the end of the consignment period will, without notice, become the property of DCFE. Consignors will not be paid for items sold after the claim date. Please refer to our Consignment Contract for additional information on pricing and consignment terms.

  • What is DCFE's return policy?
As a general rule, we do not accepts returns nor do we provide refunds for any online or in-store purchases.  If you are unsure about any item, please be sure to contact us before making a purchase so that we may answer any questions you may have.  All sales are to be considered final.  Please refer to our Refund Policy for more information on refund terms and conditions.

  • What if an item doesn’t sell?
All merchandise not sold within the 90 day consignment period and not claimed within five (5) days following the end of the consignment period will, without notice, become the property of DCFE. Consignors will not be paid for items sold after the claim date. Items requested after the 90 day consignment period and within the 5 days following that period, will be returned to the consignor at the consignor's expense.

  • When will I receive payment for my items that have sold?
DCFE shall pay all amounts due between the 10th and 20th of each month following the sale of an item. Please refer to our Consignment Contact for additional information on pricing and consignment terms.

  • Will you ship items overseas?
International shipping can be more expensive and often TAX, brokerage, and other fees are added to the base cost of shipping. While we will make reasonable efforts to keep these costs low, international import and export fees are ultimately not controlled by DCFE, and will be the expense of the consignor/customer. The consignor/customer must also be aware that international shipments can be held up in customs in unpredictable ways, and when out of the carrier's hands it becomes impossible to absolutely guarantee delivery within the previously specified time frame.
